When we hear the word Goetia, many people immediately think of fear, mystery, or even something forbidden. But… what if we could look at it differently?
Goetia Kids was born with exactly this intention: to transform a tradition often surrounded by taboo into something creative, poetic, and accessible for children and families. Instead of reinforcing horror stories, the project reimagines the classical characters of the Goetia in dialogue with figures from mythologies, legends, and folk traditions from around the world. In this way, they appear as curious, unique beings – always welcomed with care and kindness.
The idea is simple yet powerful: every child has the right to know and explore their spiritual heritage, whether it is Christian, Buddhist, Muslim, esoteric, or from any other tradition. Isn’t it interesting how this already happens so naturally? Christian parents teach Christianity to their children, Buddhist parents pass on Buddhism, Muslim families share their faith. So why shouldn’t occultist parents – including those who practice Goetia – also introduce their children to their own symbols, stories, and ways of seeing the world?
Unfortunately, the children’s book and media market tends to privilege only certain religions, leaving many families without resources that reflect their own beliefs and practices.
Goetia Kids emerges as a response to this gap. With imaginative, gentle, and respectful language, the project opens windows into worlds often labeled as “abnormal” or “forbidden.” In doing so, it invites children to develop empathy, curiosity, and respect for spiritual diversity.
More than just an educational resource, Goetia Kids is a manifesto for spiritual plurality in childhood. It affirms that all families – Christian, Muslim, Buddhist, Pagan, magical, alternative – have the right to share their values and sacred symbols with the next generation in ways that are beautiful, tender, and meaningful.
In a world that so often insists on deciding what is “right” and what is “wrong” to believe, Goetia Kids creates space for something different: a childhood universe where spirituality is diverse, colorful, and full of possibilities.
